Salt Delivery FAQs
Most households need salt delivery every 4–8 weeks, depending on water hardness, household size, and system settings. Sarasota County municipal water runs 18–22 gpg, which means a typical family of four will use approximately one 40-lb bag of salt per week. We calculate your estimated usage during your initial water test and set up delivery intervals accordingly.
Yes — we carry the salt to your softener and pour it directly into the brine tank. You don't need to haul heavy bags or be available during delivery. We leave a delivery slip with the number of bags delivered and the current salt level.
There is no service call fee for salt delivery. You pay only for the salt. There is no minimum order quantity, no contract, and no subscription required. We can deliver as few as 2 bags or as many as 10 bags per visit.
Yes, in most cases it is fine to mix solar crystals and pellets — they are both sodium chloride in different physical forms. However, we do not recommend mixing potassium chloride with sodium chloride, as this can affect the efficiency of the ion exchange process and may require valve recalibration.
No problem at all — there is no contract and no penalty. Just call or text us at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery to skip or reschedule. We understand vacation schedules, travel, and life changes.
